36. Château Bernadotte

Left-Bank, Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux 2006
  • £46.00
Owned by the Champagne House of Louis Roederer, Bernadotte is made from Cabernet and Merlot with just a touch of Petit Verdot. The wine is both fresh and fruity with solid tannins. (Walter Hicks) I think this wine is much better than the critics, one of whom, the Wine Enthusiast, gave it the highest score of 88pts. Roger Voss noted that when he tasted it young it had potential to develop into elegance. Ten years later, I score this wine 90+pts. I hope you agree. (Rupert Brendon) (C) 13% vol
