48. Poggio Antico Brunello di Montalcino

Tuscany, Italy 2010
  • £80.00
"A beautifully balanced, subtle Brunello with plum, berry, spice and fresh mahogany character. Full to medium body, fine tannins and a long finish. Very intense and harmonoiu. This is always a beauty. 97 points James Suckling. James really liked this wine, because the average of 6 Critic Score was 92 points and the average Cellar Tracker score from 15 individuals was also 92 points. I fell in love with how Brunello elevates the Sangiovese grape to wine-paradise, after tasting Case Basse by the celebrated winemaker Gianfanco Soldera. (Rupert Brendon) 14% ABV
