The Acland Suite was opened in March 2000, this was an exciting new opportunity to cater for every wedding large or small. Debbie Hatch who has worked at the hotel since 1995 was appointed Wedding Co-ordinator and Functions Manager. Her enthusiasm and professionalism with the support of a dedicated team, including head chef Michael Moore, has resulted in as many as fifty weddings a year being held at the hotel.
In December 2008, Tim and Dorothy entered the hotel in the Wedding Matters West Country Wedding Awards. In March 2009 thanks to the favourable comments from our brides and grooms the Falcon Hotel was through to the finals!
‘The icing on the cake’ came on the 15th April 2009 at The China Fleet Club, Saltash where the finals were held. The dream came true! The Falcon Hotel won ‘The Best Wedding Venue in Cornwall’. Since then we’ve been a finalist every year. Thank you all for your support.
